The subtitle "The Voice of Pisgah" was added to issues as it became associated with Old Pisgah Tabernacle.

Herald of hope was published by Christ Faith Mission, which operated at the 'Old Pisgah Tabernacle' in Highland Park, CA (Los Angeles). The original Pisgah work was founded by Finis E. Yoakum. Some time after his death, the Pisgah Home Movement moved to Tennessee and Christ Faith Mission occupied the California location. In 1972 or 1973, the two works merged, including publications. Herald of hope absorbed the paper Pisgah and added 'The voice of Pisgah' as a subtitle (Jan/Feb 1973). The volume numbers also changed, but it is not clear if the volume number was continued from Pisgah. By 2002, the Herald of Hope had a new editor (J. D. Smith) and a new place of publication (Newcastle, Wyoming).
